Every so often I will share with you someone who is doing great things for God. Sometimes these will be videos from my YOUTUBE channel & other times they will simply be on the website… 🙂
THE FIRST IS ANNIE DIXON.
We met during worship tryouts our freshman year at Oral Roberts University. My first impression of Annie was that she was unbelievably beautiful & had a very sweet spirit. Over the next few years we would be on the stage together in chapel, hang out, get lunch & I even got to know her family. After college Annie was in LA for a bit & eventually met her husband Colton… I had been through my own journey: a divorce & trying to be healthy & Annie was a friend that continually reached out to me & prayed for me.
Even though we were in different parts of America – we had both been through loss since college. I had lost my husband through an affair & she had lost her brother in a tragic accident. Dillon was the fire & spark in her family, he always brought the fun wherever he was. I had the privilege of going to a dance with him at one point in my junior year & anytime you were around him – you were having fun. I am not sure how Annie was able to keep pushing after that loss, but I knew it had inspired me in my own journey of trusting God with my story. She walks in so much grace & love with everyone she meets… as the years passed & when the time came for her & Colton to get married – she invited me to be a part of her wedding. Then, when God brought the right man into my life – I asked her to be a part of my wedding as well! (SEE PICTURE BELOW THIS POST)
She has always made me feel loved & seen, I am always amazed by how she treats those around her. In the last year, Annie started BOLD LIPS MAGAZINE. It is a resource for women of all ages to be encouraged & reminded of who they are in Christ. The focus of the message is love, confidence, the word, & finding your strength while stepping out into what God calls you to do. I love that she chooses to spend her life sharing the LOVE OF GOD with the world & use her life & story to help others. She has an encouragement below – that was personally written for you – today! BELIEVE EVERY-THING YOU HEAR WHEN GOD SAYS IT.
You’ve heard it said, “Don’t believe everything you hear,” & for the most part, this is a wise warning. But when God speaks, when we actually believe EVERYTHING we hear!
HIS PROMISES ARE GOING TO BE FULFILLED.
God promised the Israelites freedom and they entered into the promised land.
God promised Sarah a baby & she had a son miraculously in her old age.
God promised Mary she would have a son as a virgin — & that son would be God’s son!
Hebrews 11 speaks of mighty men and women of God “dying in faith, not having received the things promised…”
Even though they didn’t see the fulfillment of the promises while on earth, they knew this earth was not their home & God finished what He started. (Hebrews 11:13) Wow!
We can believe God is going to fulfill His promises to us, even if it takes patience. Patience is waiting in expectancy. We don’t have to wonder how He’s going to do it. In fact, your faith will enable these things to happen, so believe!
We have a part to play: faith & obedience.
Your faith has made you whole.
Luke 17:19
Even if your life looks like it’s going in the opposite direction of where you’re supposed to be going, keep believing & speaking the Word of God over your life. Choose to believe He will bring to pass what He has promised you.
You are loved. You are a royal priesthood. You are a child of God. Your steps are ordered of Him. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Never say, “I can’t.”
We can do ALL things THROUGH CHRIST who strengthens us.
We can stay faithful. We can stay the course.
YOU CAN BELIEVE EVERYTHING HE SAID!
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
