With every year that passes, we are stronger & our lives are richer!

The traditional six-year anniversary gift is represented by iron & like iron… we have life proof that we are tough & resilient. This metal can last a lifetime, making it a fitting tribute to a marriage that has reached the 6-year milestone.

We have been in the fire of life TOGETHER & have come out stronger… what has been forged is closeness I’ve never had with anyone & a love I have never known. I think we are both better & stronger than when we first met.

I love my boys.
If you’re a boy mom and especially of more than one, you know - you don’t really stop much… there’s a lot of movement and energy and wrestling and passion.
I love seeing them play together and figure out relationships together.
We tell them all the time - THIS IS YOUR BEST FRIEND! God gave you each other and being brothers is so special.

Also, grateful they have a dad that does most of the wrestling… sometimes they try to jump on me real hard with an elbow to the stomach and I have to remind them - that’s what daddy likes! Haha 😆

Side note… why am I whiter than this wall… 🫢 jkkk I know why, I don’t lay out. And I like my skin tone. Haha 🤣 but it is funny.

Thinking about this year… man does anyone else f

Thinking about this year… man does anyone else feel like 2019 was like 6 months ago?!?

I’m not sure how as you get older time moves so fast… maybe it’s felt this way because of how crazy the world has been the last few years…

I am not sure why it’s felt that way to me… but if there is one thing I am sure of - it’s that I want to take in every moment that matters. I want to be all in on the times that I want to remember & I don’t want to miss the little things that mean so much.

Life can get so busy that we stop doing the things that matter most… & it can be so easy to give our time to things that do not add to the future we want.

This year for me is all about moments.

I saw this picture (& yes I’m in the middle of talking in it… haha) but I had my hand up (like I’m saying “stop”) & in my heart I was like YES!

Stop…
Getting caught up in stuff that doesn’t matter.
Stop…
Spending time on things that do not add to me or my life.
Stop…
Looking back at what didn’t work.
Stop…
Wishing & just do it.
Stop…
Missing out on the little moments - you’ll never get back.

I was reminded that I want to STOP this year - so I can HAVE more of what I want. Sometimes your NO makes room for the YES you really want & need.

I wanna see that God is working in my life
& situations. But God does his greatest work in the unseen.

That’s why Hebrews 11:1 is so important…
“Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.”

But as you grow deeper in God… & you have a foundation in Him… the fruit (with time) becomes evident & encourages others along the way.

We all want the fruit without paying the price for the fruit. You gotta have healthy & good roots to even hope for fruit… & God is always helping us to pay our price, when no one is looking - so that when the world sees… THEY SEE HIM NOT US!

Most of us want to talk about what we are gifted at & all we feel called to… but no one wants to talk about what it’s going to cost you.

Your mantle will cost you.

Mantles are spoken about in the Bible as a sacrifice & also a commitment. When you are committed to something, you will sacrifice for it.

God has a call on your life, but it will cost you to carry it.

They live a life & have a love story worth following & learning from. They are true examples of what greatness looks like.

I am always amazed at their story together & all the ways the have chosen to honor God all the way in all of their life.

Thank you for being the greatest template of a marriage that I have ever seen.

This is not meant to put anyone down for living a

This is not meant to put anyone down for living a disingenuous life. But rather to challenge you to be REAL with yourself… all of us struggle with this in areas.

Some how in life - like Adam & Eve, in the garden… we forget that God sees it all. We cannot hide from him… the enemy wants you to keep things in the dark.

But your pretending to be something or someone that isn’t actually true is not letting God have it. You are in a sense “keeping that part of you - for yourself…” & God can’t work with it. & in fact - you are giving the enemy ammo in your life at that point.

I think the constant challenge we face is to understand that God knows & sees it all… I want to be blessed by Him so I have to give Him access to ALL of my life - if I want Him to be able to work in ALL of it.

Too many of the best things in life get pushed to

Too many of the best things in life get pushed to the side for the sake of “getting it done.” You may have your checklist or know what the non negotiable’s are… but when’s the last time you just took the time to be here now?!?
When is the last time you watched your child laugh at something or connect with them in the eyes & talk to them, not AT them?!?
When is the last time you shared a moment, without social media or work getting in the way…

We can get so busy that we don’t take time for the greatest moments. Today I was watching Arik watch something and just seeing his expressions filled me with so much joy…

It was a reminder. The laundry can wait, the dishes can wait, the to do list can wait. Sometimes you just need to take in the NOW & know…

You’ll never pass this way away.

The to-do list will be there tomorrow too… but this moment won’t. So, enjoy it.

You can’t even ask some people legitimate questions… this girl literally got so emotional just because someone asked her a basic question, to define a word she already used… the problem here is - she doesn’t know the answer, so instead of just defining it… she somehow becomes the victim and runs. So weak… how about don’t use words you don’t know the meaning to… 😑
