Problems Are Opportunities.

The bible gives us story after story of people who faced problems & either they handled them well or not. We can & are supposed to learn from the way they handle their issues. You see, life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems we face have the potential to defeat you or develop you – depending on how you respond to them.

It is not the easiest thing for most people to see how God wants can use our problems for good. Often we can respond in not the best ways & sometimes we even resent God for allowing our problems rather than looking to the bible to consider what God can do in our life.

God knows all of our life, He sees the beginning | middle | & end… & He always has plans for good.

God Wants To Use Everything.

1. God wants to use our problems to help DIRECT us.

Problems have a way of helping us focus on where we are headed. Too often we are not motivated enough to change & the issues we face can actually motivate us to change for the good!

Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways.

PROVERBS 20:30

2. God can use the problems we face to help us INSPECT who & what we are choosing.

I love the example that people are like teabags –  if you want to see what is inside them… drop them into hot water! I think it is essential to understand what issues or problems expose about you?

When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, & this will give you patience.

JAMES 1:2-3

3. God sometimes uses our problems for CORRECTION.

It can be difficult to grasp at times or even accept, but there are times in life that it takes certain issues to help us learn our lessons & it is only through pain & failure that we are able to do so.

When I was little, my parents told me that I was not supposed to touch the hot stove. But I honestly learned this lesson by being burned when I did not obey. Our subborness to obey or trust God & even leaders in our life – can often lead to a situation where we only are able to learn through painful situations.

It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws.

PSALMS 119:71-72

4. God can use our problems to PROTECT you.

Believe it or not – a problem can actually be a blessing in the long run! In my life it has been proven time & time again… The most painful or hurtful things in my lfie – ended up working out in my favor. I even ended up being grateful for them… Crazy sounding – I KNOW!  🙂

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.

GENISIS 50:20

5. God wants to use the problems we face to PERFECT us.

The key to conquering our problems, is responding to them correctly. When we respond with a good attitude & we choose to trust God even in our hardest times, we actually are able to build character & strength. I have found that God is way more interested in us having good character than us being comfortable.

We can rejoice when we run into problems they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady.

ROMANS 5:3-4

H E R E   I S   T H E   P O I N T:

God is at work in your life.

Even when you do not recognize it or understand it.

Just because God doesn’t respond to your prayer the way that you want Him to – It doesn’t mean that He doesn’t care.

& Just because God doesn’t bring your problems to an end – it doesn’t mean that He’s not listening when you pray.
